HeadStrong Cognitive Fitness Centre™ is an Australian based brain training games company.  One of its main founders is Dr. Elkhonon Goldberg a well known neurophysiologist and the current CEO is John Garland.  The company began in 2006 making it a relative newcomer to brain training, but its clinical service and product are promoted through this website, http://www.headstrong.com.au/ or http://www.headstrongbrain.com. 

Its focus is on preventative health care to aging adults.  Headstrong™ has created a computer based product focusing on various cognitive exercises designed to prevent cognitive decline or slow down the development of illnesses like dementia and Alzheimer’s.

There are actually over 200 different brain exercise games that focus on five different areas: mental speed, attention and concentration, language, memory, and problem solving. 

These exercises can be performed on most computers, but you will need at least a broadband internet connection, internet explorer 6.0 or higher or firefox 2.0 or higher web browsers, and Adobe Flash player, version 9.0 or higher.

Personal Review 

It is currently too early in the process to give a fair Headstrong review because of the newness of their products.  This is one reason why there are only a limited number of customer testimonials.  Although they appear to have promise and a growing scientific background supporting these products, I am leery to recommend it to customers until more time goes by.  If you would like to purchase their program, you can visit their website at http://www.headstrong.com.au/.
