Neuroplasticity
Neuroplasticity is
the mother from which all this new brain training has
been born. Recent advances in this area have spurred
development in brain training in several areas
including Auditory Processing, Visual Processing and
Motor Skills Processing. With the ageing of the
baby boomers generation, you can expect to see this area
of research continue to grow. Advances in medicine are
lengthening the life expectancy of all individuals. With
people living longer lives, more and more people will
become interested in finding ways to make sure their
mental faculties last as long as their bodies. Our goal
is to help drive you there and neuroplasticity will be
the vehicle to take us.
At its simplest
level, neuroplasticity believes you can become smarter
through certain training. Its focus is on showing
how you can build new brain neurons. This discovery
debunked the conventional wisdom that memory skills were
innate and what you were born with is what you got.
Now, neuroplasticity is driving the trend toward memory
improvement and is a promising science for all those
concerned about memory loss and other illnesses like
Alzheimer’s and Dementia. By building brain
neurons, we are able to improve our thinking capacities
and recover from various strokes and other
difficulties. As we are beginning to discover, the
brain is very adaptable and can be
improved with appropriate brain
training.
